Ass. Prof. Jonny Peter
Prof. Jonathan Peter MB ChB, MMed, FCP (SA), PhD completed his undergraduate medical training in 2000 and qualified as a specialist physician in 2009, both at the University of Cape Town. He was the recipient of a number of awards for medical training including the 2009 Suzman medal, which is awarded by the College of Physicians to the best candidate in the final specialist exams nationally. In February 2016, he became the first HPCSA-registered allergist with a base speciality in adult internal medicine.
He has experience treatment managing primary and secondary immunodeficiency diseases, drug- and other forms of severe allergy, and autoimmunity. He has received training in the interpretation of specialist immunological laboratory investigations, as well as the use of long-term immunoglobulin replacement therapy and other complex immunotherapies.He is happy to be contacted for all immunology and general medical problems.
